What does ShelfSift check on my storefront?

ShelfSift checks product links it finds on a public storefront to see whether pages are broken or unreadable. It checks availability, including whether an item is out of stock, and compares a price shown on the storefront listing with the price on the product page. If a page does not provide a clear, supported fact, ShelfSift treats it as unclear rather than a confirmed finding.

How do I review a finding or suggested fix?

Each finding includes its product and check context alongside a suggested fix. You review it and can approve or dismiss it. Approval records your decision in ShelfSift only; it does not edit or otherwise change your shop. You make any shop changes yourself.

What is in a daily report?

Accepted Answer

A saved daily report summarises changes across completed scans for its report day. It includes the completed scan count and change count, along with newly detected or resolved broken or unreadable link, out-of-stock, and price-difference findings. Each change identifies the product, shows its previous and current states, and includes the times of the previous and current checks.

What if there were no changes or no completed scans?

Accepted Answer

The report identifies a day with no changes and a day with no completed scans. If scans completed but there was no earlier completed scan to compare, the report says that too. Daily summaries count completed scans for the report day.
